Take it easy on our respected Majority Leader- Ablakwa begs Suame Artisans

Angry

The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has ‘begged’ angry Suame Magazine Artisans to take it easy on their Member of Parliament, Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu.

This comes after the angry Suame magazine artisans verbally attacked the MP last Monday.

The angry Suame magazine artisans pelted their Member of Parliament with sachet water, hooted at him and chanted war songs to register their displeasure over their bad roads amongst others.

This was when the MP went for a work visit to ascertain construction works in the area.

But for the timely intervention of the MP would have been seriously attacked. The Artisans were demonstrating when the MP visited the site.

Prior to Monday’s demonstration, the angry Suame Magazine Artisans are said to have demonstrated against bad roads amongst others.

The residents complained that a construction work on their road had been abandoned by the contractors who claimed that they had not receive payment for about two months and therefore to halt their work.

Meanwhile, after the attack on Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu, within two hours, it was hinted that the contractors returned to the site, claiming the MP had spoken with them.

One of the angry Suame magazine artisans who spoke on Atinka TV’s morning show, Ghana Nie said they will not stop demonstrating until their roads are totally fixed.

We beg of them to take it easy on our respected Majority Leader, Hon. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu.”

In a similar development, some residents at Suame have also demanded those who pelted sachet water and hooted at the MP to render an immediate apology to him or they will retaliate.
