The Mayor of Tema, Felix Nii Anang-La, has refuted media reports indicating an attempted attack on him by some aggrieved NPP supporters in the Tema East Constituency.
News were rife on Tuesday about a near attack on the Tema Mayor by some aggrieved NPP party supporters in Tema Newtown, during a meeting between the Mayor and some party executives to iron out differences within the party in the Constituency.
The supporters allegedly blamed the Tema Mayor and some other party leaders in the area for causing the party’s defeat in the Constituency in the 2020 general elections.
However, Felix Nii Anang-LaAnnang-La, in a statement denied any existing acrimony between himself and party supporters in the Tema East Constituency.
He has, therefore. urged the rank and file of the party to unite all fronts in fostering unity to ensure the party recapture the Tema East seat in the next general elections.
He said, he’s committed to addressing the division within the party, calling on all party members to support in such an agenda.
