- The various Police command barracks in the Tema municipality observed a Nationwide Barracks cleanup Exercise on Saturday, 9th of May 2020.
The exercise, which begun at 6am, saw an encouraging turnout of personnel and their households at the community One, Community Two, and Tema Newtown Police barracks, distilling choked gutters, weeding and sweeping the surroundings of the barracks.
The various cells and storerooms within the facilities were also not left out of the cleaning exercise.
The exercise was in compliance to a directive from the Inspector General of police, as part of preparations towards a nationwide fumigation exercise expected to be carried out by ZOOMLION, at all police facilities, to curtail the potential spread and threat of the COVID-19 virus to personnel and their household.
