Tema Oil Refinery Ltd (TOR) and the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC) have announced plans to collaborate on a strategic initiative aimed at training 500 Ghanaian youth for careers in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.
This agreement was reached during a preliminary meeting held at TOR’s premises, where both organizations discussed the framework for a capacity-building and technical exchange program. The initiative is designed to equip young Ghanaians with the skills and expertise required to thrive in the country’s evolving energy sector.
The PHDC delegation was led by its Acting Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Onasis Rosely, while TOR’s Acting Managing Director, Mr. Edmond Kombat, Esq., hosted the engagement.
The discussions highlighted TOR’s readiness to contribute its technical infrastructure and experienced personnel toward the development of future industry professionals.
With a wealth of operational expertise and training resources, TOR is well positioned to play a pivotal role in grooming the next generation of oil and gas specialists.
Both institutions emphasized their shared commitment to advancing Ghana’s energy sector and creating sustainable employment opportunities for the youth.
Also present at the meeting were TOR’s Acting Deputy Managing Director, Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar Batalima, and other senior managers of the refinery.
