The Coalition of Unposted Qualified Newly Trained Teachers has threatened to stage series of demonstrations to express their displeasure over government’s failure to post them since 2018.
Speaking to Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive, President for the group, Frank Ohene, appealed to Government, Ministry of Education and the Education Service to post all 2018 batch of “Qualified Newly Trained Teachers” who met the requirements for posting set by Ghana Education Service, including March and September re-sitters.
“We want to state categorically that, government’s failure to show any positive interest in our plight after the first week of March, 2020, will compel us to stage series of demonstrations across the country including picketing the forecourt of the office of the Minister of Education,” he added.
Frank Ohene called on the central government to, as a matter of urgency, cause the Ministry of Education and the GES to swiftly work on our postings in order to avert any action by the group.
He noted that their action has the tendency of making government unpopular in the hearts and eyes of our relations and other Ghanaians who sympathize with the Association.
