Ursula Commissions 2 Community Information Centres in Ga West Municipality

 
The Communications Minister, Mrs. Ursula Owusu Ekuful on Thursday commissioned two Community Information Centres (CICs) in the Ga West Municipality in the Greater Accra region.
The two CICs located at Kwashikuma and Manhean, forms part of the government’s initiative to promote ICT and e-learning in the country.
Mrs. Owusu Ekuful said the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC) has been tasked to ensure that all existing and dilapidated CICs in the country become functional to help bridge the digital gap.
She therefore charged the Municipal assembly to ensure a routine maintenance for sustainability of the project.
Present at the ceremony were the Director of operations for GIFEC Alhaji Zakaria Yahaya Osman and the Municipal Chief Executive for Ga West, Clement Wikinson.
