A tense situation unfolded in Adum, Kumasi, as some angry youth assaulted personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) over what they described as an ineffective response to the raging fire at the PZ area.

The fire, which broke out on the top floor of a building near Hello FM, spread rapidly, destroying properties and causing panic among residents and business owners. Witnesses say the fire service’s tender struggled to operate effectively, sparking frustration among the youth, some of whom took matters into their own hands by confronting and attacking the firefighters.
