We’re coming to sanitise supreme court -NDC Communicator

An NDC Communicator, Ibrahim Ali has hinted that the NDC-Government is about to sanitise the Supreme Court.

According to him, the days when people hear “unanimous decisions” is coming to end under this new government.

He said this following the removal of cases of High Profiled NDC members by the Attorney General, Dominic Ayine.

Speaking on Atinka TV’s morning show, Ghana Nie with Ama Gyenfa, Ibrahim Ali said during the previous government, most of the cases supervised by the Supreme Court went in favour of the New Patriotic Party(NPP).

He noticed that whenever a case involved the National Democratic Congress(NDC) or its Members, the Supreme Court mostly ruled the case against the NDC even when the NDC had a good case.

He also alleged that some of the Supreme Court judges were sympathizers of the NPP and therefore ruled in favour of them.

“As we have come, we are coming to balance the court,” he said.

Ali Ibrahim also said the Government will investigate the judges, and some of the cases they dealt with which were questionable.

He also said they will replace some of them with those who are neutral and not sympathizers of the NPP.

Touching on the cases dropped by the Attorney General against known NDC affiliates, Ali Ibrahim said the previous government had no concrete evidence against those who have been freed now.

He was of the view that most of the cases were purely witch-hunting.

For the cases dropped by Dominic Ayine, Ibrahim Ali said the Former Attorney General, Godfred Dame had no evidence against those who were involved including Cassiel Ato Forson, saying that the current President, John Dramani Mahama will protect his reputation and therefore will not appoint anyone who was really involved in causing financial loss to state.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim Ali warned appointees of this government not to engage in any form of corruption, adding that they will be arrested and jailed if they do.
