2020 paragliding launched with a call on the private sector to invest in tourism

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer in Charge of Operations at the Ghana Tourism Authority, Mr Ekow Sampson has called on the private sector to invest in the tourism sector since the government alone cannot do it.
According to him, the move will help develop the local economy and create jobs for the youth.
He made the call during the launch of this year’s paragliding festival at Mpraeso in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region.
The 2020 Paragliding festival which is the 15th edition and has the Theme,”Soaring Beyond the Return” is expected to attract festive revelers from different part of the world to participate.
Speaking at the event to launch this year’s occasion, Mr Ekow Sampson urged the private sector to participate in the tourism sector, since it has the propensity to grow the economy and also create more jobs for the teaming youth.
He advised the public against bad behaviours during the Easter festivities at Kwahu.
In a speech read on behalf of the Chief of Kwahu Mpraeso, Nana Ampadu Dei Duam II, he encouraged the people in the locality to patronise the tourist centres in the area and appealed to the government to speed up work on the road networks leading to the Odweanoma mountain.
