31st December Movement and Mokasa Women Trust Foundation support 600 widows, PWDs & aged in Ketu South

Hon Sherry Ayittey, a Vice Chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)and also the Executive Director of these two NGOs over the Weekend led a delegation to provide support for 600 people living along the borders of Aflao with maize, canned fish, water and some used Cloths.
The support forms part of the NGO’s contribution of alleviating the untoward hardship brought on the people as a result of the closure of the Boarder.
The selected beneficiaries made up of the Aged, Widows and people living with disabilities PWDs were selected from the following electoral areas with the support from the Assembly members; Aflagatigorme, Huime, Duta, Akporkple,Yame and Kpodzi Abgogbome(Woudaba) Other members of the delegation were; HE Molly Anim Addo, Former Ambassador of Ghana to Italy and the Chairperson of the Women Trust Foundation and Madam Mrs.
Victoria Kuma Mintah, the Former Coordinator of the School Feeding Program amongst others.
Hon Dzifa Gomashie the Ketu south Parliamentary Candidate, commended the team for their support to the people and call on other NGOs to follow same in helping cushion the plight of the needy in the municipality.
She also used the opportunity to speak against the act of domestic violence which has taken the lives of people needlessly.
This latest presentation follows the earlier interventions made by the Member of Parliament, Hon Fifi Kwetey and the Parliamentary Candidate, Hon Abla Dzifa Gomashie to the Ketu South.
The team also used the opportunity to educate the beneficiaries on the need to always observe the safety protocols outlined by the Ministry of Health.
Present to witness the presentation in the various electoral areas were; Feguson Ahorlu the Constituency Organiser, Noah Geli the Deputy Youth Organizer, Steven Datsomor the Aflao Urban Secretary, Francis Avavor a former constituency organizer and the Hon Assembly members of the six beneficiaries electoral areas.
