Lawyer Henry Opoku-Ware, a staunch New Patriotic Party (NPP) member, has advised the party to rally behind Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP running mate in these difficult times.
At his unveiling in Kumasi Jubilee Park, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh said President Nana Addo had performed better than any Ghanaian president, even Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
This statement has sparked a lot of backlash from the young and old in the country, with some questioning Napo’s credibility as a running mate.
Speaking on Atinka TV’s Saturday morning show, Oman Mu Nsem, hosted by Nana Owoahene Acheampong, Hon. Opoku-Ware affirmed his unflinching support for the Bawumia -Napo pair and further encouraged the elephant family to solidly rally behind Dr. Opoku Prempeh at this time.
He emphasized that Dr. Nkrumah’s era trampled on people’s freedom, a fact he strongly believes triggered Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh’s statement that day.
Mr Opoku Ware who unsuccessfully contested the BeKwai parliamentary elections, believes that Napo’s statement has been misunderstood.
He, therefore, urged the party to diligently highlight the positive aspects of Napo to assist them in “breaking the eight “
