Zeepay Limited is expected to hold talks with the Bank of Ghana (BoG) on Monday following the revocation of its licence over regulatory breaches.

The Bank of Ghana announced on Tuesday that it had revoked Zeepay’s licence after finding violations of regulatory requirements. The central bank said the decision was taken to protect the integrity of Ghana’s financial system and safeguard the interests of customers.

It also assured the public that measures were being put in place to minimise disruptions to customers and partner institutions.

When Tobinco Media Group (TMG)’s Senior Journalist, Cynthia Akans visited Zeepay’s head office, the premises were largely deserted, with no company officials available to comment on the development.

A security officer at the office said management was working to engage the Bank of Ghana in discussions aimed at addressing the issues that led to the licence revocation.
