Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture and Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, has donated school desks to the Roman Ridge M/A Basic School in the constituency following a request from the school authorities.
The donation is aimed at addressing the shortage of suitable furniture at the school, where several classrooms were still using old wooden desks that had become weak and unfit for use.

According to Mr Dumelo, the condition of the desks had created challenges for pupils and required urgent attention to provide a more conducive learning environment.
He said several classrooms have now had their old desks replaced with new ones as part of efforts to improve teaching and learning conditions for pupils in the community.

The MP said the intervention followed calls from the school authorities for support, stressing the importance of ensuring that children have access to basic facilities needed for effective learning.
He expressed his commitment to supporting educational institutions within the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency and improving the welfare of pupils.

The Roman Ridge M/A Basic School is located in Roman Ridge and serves children within the community.
The donation forms part of Mr Dumelo’s constituency-level interventions aimed at responding to pressing needs in schools and improving educational infrastructure.
