According to him, what happened last year leading to the closure of Nigerian traders’ shops was unfortunate and speak ill of both countries.
He said, though GUTA has legitimate concerns, it must leave the issue to the law enforcement agencies to handle, while it works hard to boost Ghana’s economy.

On the closure of the Semeh border somewhere last year, Comrade Ojo said even though the move was backed by ECOWAS laws that frown on contraband goods and movement of illegal goods and humans, he believes the Nigerian authorities are working assiduously to get it resolved.
The GUNA Youth Affairs Secretary, however, counted on the arrival of the much expected ECO currency which according to him will help eradicate some of these issues.
