Although counting of votes of the December 7, 2020 election is still ongoing, the two major political parties, New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have started claiming winner of the elections.
The NDC organised a press conference claiming it had snatched more parliamentary seats from the NPP although certified results are yet to be announced.
On the other hand, the NPP is also claiming victory over the election and started jubilating.
At the NPP headquarters where collation is also ongoing by the party, the party had mounted spinners with loud music to start partying even before the Electoral Commission declares them winners.
Meanwhile, the party is yet to respond to the claim by the NDC.
