Nigerian Actor, Jim Iyke says the next time the public will see him out there will be in five years’ time.
According to him, he only shows up when he has important things to promote and he needs his voice to be heard, saying he always takes a break to mind his personal businesses after that.
Jim Iyke who is premiering his movie in Kumasi this weekend said he had always treated the entertainment industry like a guest where he only shows up when he has something to do and then after goes into hiding.
That, he noted has been one of the strategies to stay relevant in the industry for over 20 years.

Speaking with Agyenkwa FM’s DJ BIce in Kumasi, Jim Iyke said over the years, he has taken a hiatus to get a Masters Degree, to raise his son and others.
“I only come out when I have something to say or something to do, and every time I come, there is a feel for demand and scarcity,” he said.
“The next time people are going to see me will be in about two, three or five years. If you see much of my work and much of me, you will get tired,” he said.
Acting
He said acting was not his original plan but rather doing businesses and owning companies.
However, he said in the process of trying so many businesses which were not working for him then, his father advised him to focus on one at a time and he settled on acting.
Jim Iyke said he had a finance background, noting that he had a degree in banking and finance, a Master’s degree in Psychology and other certificates.
When asked why he settled on acting, he said he had the conviction to do so.
The actor said he could do 48 movies in a year, saying that nobody had ever done that in Nigeria.
He added that he shot films continuously such that in a week, he could shoot three films in a week and six films in two weeks.
At some point, he said he broke down and could not remember so many things and was advised to take a break from everything and everybody including phones for two days because he had extreme fatigue.
Jim Iyke said on the third day, he regained his memory due to the therapy.
In all, he said he has done about 300 films, saying he is the Highest working Actor in Nigeria.
Jim Iyke again said he was able to play any role he was given because he put himself in any role given him, describing it as the ‘Chameleon effect’.
He said “Bad Comments”, the movie he is currently premiering is the best movie he has ever acted and the best movie in Nigeria for now.
