The police have released photos of seven alleged hardened criminals who escaped from the Kwabenya Police cells in the early hours of Sunday .
The seven suspects were aided by their colleagues who stormed the police station. The dawn raid resulted in the death of a senior police officer on duty.

Fifteen Syrian refugees – some of them children – have been found frozen to death while trying to cross the mountainous border into Lebanon.
Thirteen bodies were found on Friday and two more were discovered on Saturday after the area was hit by a fierce snowstorm.
Lebanese civil defence officials found the bodies after being told a group of refugees were in trouble near Masnaa.
Local reports say the group had been abandoned by smugglers.
Two smugglers have reportedly been arrested.
Several refugees were rescued, including a young boy who was found wandering by himself.
The group were taking the same route hundreds of thousands of Syrians have taken before them trying to flee the conflict at home.
Lebanon, with a population of four million, has taken in nearly one million Syrians since the war began in 2011.
The Lebanese authorities brought in new restrictions in 2015 to try to restrict the number of refugees arriving in the country.

Atinkaonline has intercepted the full police DNA report on the alleged rape case involving a Lebanese national, Rabih Haddad and his house help.
Haddad was arrested December 3 , 2017 for allegedly raping his 19-year-old house help at Airport Hills residential area in Accra.
The victim alleged that her boss forcibly had sex with her around 5 pm on Saturday in the absence of his wife after physically assaulting her .
However, the case appears to have taken a new twist as medical examination (DNA report) of the alleged victim could not establish any evidence of assault, bruises or rape.
According to credible sources, even though the alleged rape is said to have occurred between 4-5pm on the said day , the “itemized bill” of one of the major Telco’s placed the accused at Osu within that same period, raising serious doubts about the alleged victims claims.
The latest evidence from the police could make the ongoing trial a very interesting one as the issue of blackmail cannot be ruled out.
Meanwhile, an Accra High Court granted bail to Haddad last Monday to the tune of five hundred thousand cedis (GHc500,000) with two sureties to be justified. He is also to deposit his passport with the registrar of the court.

Kenya's health minister is investigating claims that new mothers were sexually assaulted at a flagship hospital in the capital Nairobi.
Social media posts alleged that male staff members targeted the women when they went to feed their babies.
The Kenyatta National Hospital said the reports were "untrue" and denied any assaults took place.
Its CEO, Lily Koros, has asked anyone with evidence to pass it to the hospital or the police.
A post about the assaults first appeared on a Kenyan Facebook page called Buyer Beware, prompting more users to allege that sexual assault was common at the hospital.
One poster said that she knew of a woman who had given birth to twins via Caesarean and was attacked on her way to see them. The woman scared the attackers away by screaming, she said.
Health Minister Cleopa Mailu said he wanted a report into the allegations by Monday.
In its statement, the hospital acknowledged that new mothers had to travel between floors to feed their children, but said no rape or attempted rape had been reported.
"This damning and untrue social media report is authored in bad faith," it said.
CCTV was in operation around the clock in the hospital and uniformed security officers were in place day and night, the hospital added.

The worth of money can only be seen where every tick of the clock is valued. You see, time management is not only key for personal development but national development, too.
Time today is the currency we can use to buy tomorrow. The man who has value for time will soon have wealth that can stand the test of time. Our lives can only be as productive as we make our time to be.
We must cherish every minute of our lives. Every bit of our day should be dedicated to an activity― an activity that may sooner or later feed our pockets with money. There should be no time of the day our lives should be left unattended to. How profitable our lives may ever be depends on how profitably we use our time. When we waste our time, we eventually leave our lives wasted.
A day, just like a year, is a measurement of time. Seconds soon become minutes and a lot more minutes soon make up a year. Time lost can’t be recycled. When we mismanage our seconds, we inadvertently mismanage our minutes… which eventually mismanage our day.
If we were to perceive time as money, most of us would have treated every second of our day as the best thing we ever had. If we had assumed that we lose a cedi at each second misused, we would have guarded our time with all of our lives. Indeed, time is money… and money is time!
How we value our seconds and minutes will tell how much value we place on the year. Thing is, all our dreams will come to naught if we undervalue time. No achievement was ever made without time. Time is the first asset everyone needs to make any move in life. You first need to appreciate time to appreciate the value of an achievement.
Anyone who abuses time will only end up abusing their own selves because every achievement begins with finding the value of time. Until we find its value, time can’t translate into money in our pockets.
The poor envy the rich when they have at their disposal a cryptocurrency called time to make every transaction they so desire. The poor and rich have time. The former only knows of its existence while the latter knows of its value. Wealth is only a product of time!
What really matters is the content of our time. Like every currency, one can use time to buy wasteful goods or profitable ones. One can spend every minute of their day on useless ventures while another spends it on what will yield good returns.
Mind you, both the rich and poor have the same time bequeathed them. However, at the end of each day, one is not able to account profitably for theirs. While one uses their time to create products to sell, the other uses theirs to buy those same products created. The rich create with their time. The poor buy with theirs!
At every point in time, each man should aim at creating a product/service the world’s market may need. Use your time to think solutions. The transition of poverty to riches is a transition from buying to selling… and it all begins with knowing how valuable time is. Every time you buy a product, know that it is a product of someone’s time. Time is money and money is time!
Each man is born with unseen wealth called time. It is their duty to manage this asset to be translated into money― it is their duty to churn this cryptocurrency into physical wealth. Time, like every commodity, has value. Our value on earth can only be as equal as the value we place on our time.
Don’t idle about in life. Don’t waste your time on unprofitable relationships. Manage your time. Value it. Think of every wasted time as wasted money and opportunities. When God wants to bless a man, He endows him with ideas. These ideas translate into wealth when he manages his time effectively.
If one spends their time judiciously, it goes without saying that they will spend their money same. One who makes budget for their time, makes budget for their money, too. Budget for your seconds. Budget for your days.
Time is a currency that can be traded for another currency. It will be a cryptocurrency traded for money… only if you understand its value. If your time is your money, your money will be your time!

Private legal practitioner and a member of the three-man 2014 World Cup Commission of Enquiry, has said that President Nana Akufo-Addo has been “wrongly briefed” on the autonomy of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The President on Wednesday, during an interaction with the media at the Flagstaff House, said the executive arm of government would not interfere in the administration of football in the country.
“My understanding is that the rules of Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), makes the GFA an independent organisation.
“And that those who are involved in football administration in the country would deal with issues of mismanagement if there is one. It is a basic rule and FIFA is insistent on that. There should be no executive interference in the administration football anywhere,” the President said.
But according to Mr Foh Amoaning, the president’s view on the autonomy of the Football Association was wrong adding that it is not the correct position of international law.
He noted that is inaccurate to think that that the GFA is autonomous and cannot be controlled.
He said that there is no international law backing the autonomy of Associations, such as GFA and its mother body – FIFA.
“He (President) has not been briefed properly about the autonomy of the GFA. FIFA itself is not autonomous. If you read our report there is a whole section on Ghana’s relationship with FIFA, where we discussed the international law position on the so-called autonomy of FIFA.
“We discussed the international law position on the matter. It is not true that any international organisation can be a law in itself. Because in international laws, it is the state parties or countries that have the sovereign power. So if an international association thinks they can act on their own, it is not true,” he stressed.
“After we submitted our report, the United States government raided the FIFA headquarters and locked some of them up. What is more interventionist than that and why is that FIFA didn’t ban America? They couldn’t because, in reality, it is the countries that have delegated their powers to them to operate.
“So if the state parties think that something is going wrong, they can control these international organisations and that is why FIFA itself is under control.”
Mr Foh Amoaning said these in an interview with the GNA Sports on Thursday.
Mr Foh Amoaning, however, admonished the government to consult the 2014 document to get an enlightened perspective on the subject matter.
“Such issues have been captured in the report and the government should study it and know the correct international position on the matter. Because it is not true that FIFA itself is autonomous let alone the GFA,” he noted.
He said the GFA is a public institution because it was the only Association that was managing football on behalf of Ghanaians and cannot be free from government intervention if things are being mismanaged there.
“If there is a crime being committed and their accounts are being fraudulently handled, the government can step in and ensure that the right things are done.“
