ADB holds annual thanksgiving service

The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) has held its Annual Thanksgiving Service with a call on all to adopt a habit of giving thanks to God in all situations.
With all clad in white, the service was dubbed, “Be Thankful unto Him, and Bless His Name. For the Lord is good.” Psalm 100:4-5.
The occasion was graced by renowned musicians Daughters of Glorious Jesus and Uncle Ato and his praise team.
Preaching the sermon, a Compliance Consultant at Petrol Golf Limited and Resident Pastor at kingdom Power Family International Accra, Rev. Edwin Langmer, urged people to be thankful to God for their lives and not complain of not having the wealth they desire.
“To wake up in the morning is the wealth God has given you. So remember the Lord your God, it is he that gives you power to work,” he said.

He also said that, “Thanksgiving is very important, it is the act of faith in God and and to acknowledge what God has done for you. Giving thanks to the Lord creates room for more blessings. The more you give thanks, the more he gives to you.”
Still underscoring the need to give thanks to God, Rev. Edwin Langmer said, “You cannot be thankful to that which you look down upon…A heart that does not have gratitude for what it has cannot give thanks.”
The Managing Director of ADB, Mr John Kofi Mensah, who also noted the importance of thanksgiving said, “If you give reverence to God, appreciate and acknowledge him, he will break protocols for you.”

According to him, without God, the ADB would not have survived the turbulence that hit the banking sector in 2019, appreciating God for holding the bank in such difficult times.
“2020 is going to be marvelous, God is going to break protocols for us, our family and the ADB as a whole,” he added.
Mr John Kofi Mensah said the ADB brand is stronger and well positioned than it was some years ago, expressing hope that the bank witness massive improvement in its fortunes due to the many tactical measures it has initiated as part of its five-year strategic plan.

“Last year was good for the bank, we undertook strategic decisions including the green climate fund certification which brought us into contact with Posco International of Seoul, South Korea, with the positive effects to actualise in the course of the year,” he said.
Meanwhile, he stated that the Bank will continue to invest more into agribusiness, calling on customers to continue doing business with ADB.
