President Akufo Addo has sacked the Energy Minister, Boakye Agyarko, over the reviewed Ameri Deal.
In a statement signed by the Communication Director at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, the Minister for Energy has been asked to hand over his office to the Minister for lands and Natural resources , John Peter Amewu.
Prior to this action by the President, it was reported that Nana Akufo Addo was misled into approving the new AMERI deal which did not get parliamentary backing through an Executive Order.
According to the statement dated August 6th, the energy minister's sack is with immediate effect.
