Akufo Addo sacks Charlotte Osei, two deputies

 

President of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has reportedly removed the electoral Commission boss, Charlotte Osei and her two deputies from office.

Madam Charlotte Osei, Mr Amadu Sulley and Ms. Georgina Opoku Amankwah have been relieved off their duties with immediate effect.

According to a statement signed by the Minister for Information, Mustapha Hamid, the action of the President comes after the committee which was set up by the Chief Justice, Justice Sophia Akufo, to investigate the complaints brought against the three persons by Ghanaian citizens recommended for their removal.

The three have been asked to hand over their respective schedules to the Directpr for Human Resource and General Services of the Electoral Commission.
