The rich Krobo culture was put on display in Odumase- Krobo in the Lower Manya Krobo Municpality of the Eastern Region when the Akute/Akutei Gates of the Royal Akute Azu Family of Kokum, officially outdoored heads for the two gates.
The brief investiture ceremony was preceded by an early morning customary rites where the two new heads for the family were officially announced in the presence of some principal elders of the Nene Akute Azu Family.

The two heads, Nene Okunfo Osayo Azu and Naana Koryoe Patawotuo Azu, both descendants of the Akute/Akutei lineages will be serving in the capacity as the family king and queen mother respectively.
Aside the rich Krobo culture, which were put on display at the brief investiture ceremony, a history of the two lineages were also re-echoed by an elder of the family who also touched on the significance of having a family Wekumatse and Wekumanye
The head pastor of the Local Gospel Assembly, Reverend Bernard Teye Kwofie who officiated the ceremony, stressed on the importance for the newly outdoored heads to involve God in their duties. He also touched on the importance of unity and the need for family members to be each other’s keeper.
The newly outdoored Wekumatse and Wekumanye of the Akute/Akutei lineages of the Royal Akute Azu Family of Kokum, Odumase-Krobo, would be ably assisted by their subordinates in the persons of Dr Mrs Dina Heyman Adu with stool name Manye Diana Akuki and Nene Edwin Mate who were installed as head for the Annatse family.
In his acceptance speech, Nene Osayo, promised to use his new office to unite the family, stressing on the need for family members to rally behind him and his queen to bring progress to the family.
