Renowned Ghanaian media icon and broadcast journalist, Akwasi Kuranchie Nkyi, is set to grace the 2025 edition of the Social Media Entertainment Awards and Business Summit, scheduled for tomorrow, June 28, 2025, at the CLOSSAG Auditorium in Accra.
Known as a father figure in Ghana’s media industry, Akwasi Kuranchie Nkyi has nurtured many top talents in television and radio. He is widely respected for shaping the content we enjoy on Ghanaian TV today.
His decades of experience and dedication to quality broadcasting make him one of the most influential figures in the sector.
Mr. Nkyi currently works with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, where he has served for over 20 years in roles including Transmission Coordinator, Director, and Producer.
He has played key roles in covering major national events, from presidential inaugurations to state funerals and national awards.
He is also a former Managing Director of Tobinco Media Group.
He has also directed programs like News Hour, Talking Point, and Vodafone Healthline. His career also includes lecturing at Ghana Christian University College.
