The aspiring parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress Party (NDC) in the Anyaa Sowutoum Constituency, Emmanuel Allotey Adotey has described the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Madam Ayorkor Botchwey as a failed leader to the Constituency.
According to him, the Anyaa Sowutoum Constituency under her leadership has seen no developmental projects or policies that have positively impacted on the constituents.
“There are no proper roads in the Constituency, lack of jobs for the youth and high level of crime rate in the Constituency. How then do you parade yourself around as if you worked well?” Mr. Allotey quizzed.
Mr. Adotey continued, “Madam Ayorkor rightly knew she was a failure to our Constituency that was what has informed her decision of not contesting in the upcoming polls”.
Mr. Emmanuel Allotey Adotey made the assertions when he officially filed his nomination forms at the Electoral Commission Office in the Anyaa Sowutoum Constituency to confirm his candidacy to contest as the Member of Parliament in the upcoming 2020 general elections.
Ahead of the official filing process at the District office of the Electoral Commission, Mr. Allotey Adotey was joined by some members of the NDC party who embarked on a procession through some principal towns in the Anyaa Sowutoum Constituency.
Speaking further, Mr. Adotey, noted that his term in office as the Member of Parliament of the Constituency will see massive developmental projects and policies that will have positive impact on the constituents.
“I am to be trusted of good leadership in this Constituency rather than relying on the current candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Dickson Adomako kissi who will also walk in the same steps of Ayorkor, whom he’s taking over from.” Mr. Allotey said.
Mr. Emmanuel Allotey Adotey will be contesting against Dr. Dickson Adomako kissi who took over from the incumbent Member of Parliament, Madam Ayorkor Botchwey in the 2020 general elections.
