Ten contestants of Atinka 104.7 FM’s Atinka Radio Icon, Nana Adjei Ofori Francis, Abena Yeboah Agyapong, Augustine Ahuofe, Kofi Amponsahene, Elolo, King Biankie, Gye Nyame, Hannbofour, Ato Kwamina Nyansadodow, and Azonto KK have been evicted from the competition.
They were ousted at the first eviction show held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at the AMV.
Their eviction brings the number of contestants to 44.
For four weeks, the contestants displayed their talents respectively to justify their inclusion.
Last week, the ten were spared from Eviction because the organizers of the show wanted to give them a little more time to prove themselves and justify their inclusion.
However, as the rules of the competition demand, some must be evicted for the champions to be identified.
At the fifth edition, the contestants showcased their talent in news reading, presentations of programmes, sports news, sports presentation, djing, and others.
While some did excellently, others were also ordinary.
On Friday, those who did not live up to expectations and as well did not have enough votes were evicted.
Atinka Radio Icon was launched on May 28, 2023, at the Grand Finale of the Tobvital Atinka Kids Dance at the National Theatre.
About 60 contestants were officially presented to the public at the launch.
For 13 weeks, they are expected to showcase their talents including news reading or presenting, news reporting, and DJing amongst others.
They will be hosted every Friday on Atinka Drive by Roman Fada.
