Atinka TV’s visual editor shortlisted for GJA Award

Atinka TV’s visual editor, Robert Tettey, has been shortlisted as one of the winners at the upcoming 25th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards Night.

The 25th GJA Awards is scheduled for Saturday 24th October 2020 at the plush Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra.

The 2020 GJA awards, which seeks to award deserving Journalists is on the theme “Covid-19 and Credible  Presidential and Parliamentary elections: The Media Factor.

Announcing the names of journalists to be awarded, the GJA awards committee chairperson, Mrs. Betty Appau Oppong mentioned that the committee received 625 and 75 entries in hard and online respectively.

“It is important to emphasize that the GJA awards is to celebrate all those who sent quality entries to the competition and distinguished themselves in their professional practice. I cannot formally declare the winners of the 25th GJA Awards without commending most highly the solid roll Journalists in general continue to play in the sustenance of the award,”  Mrs. Betty Appau Oppong said.

Atinka TV’s Visual Editor, Robert Tettey , who is the editor behind most of Atinka TV’s award winning shows started his editing career at studio one in 2008 as a visual editor.

Due to his commitment to the work, he was later promoted to the position of production assistant.

Robert Tettey later joined Modern Fotos and worked there for a short period before joining Global Media Alliance’s  E.tv Ghana as a visual editor where he was promoted to the position of Head of Visual Editing department. 

Robert Tettey joined Atinka TV few months after its establishment where he is currently the Head of the Visual Editing Department.
