Christian media urged to invest in creative contents

Bernard-Avle

Ghanaian media personality, broadcast journalist and public speaker, Bernard Koku Avle, has called on Christian owned media to invest in creative contents that will propagate the Christian doctrines.

Bernard Koku Avle made the comment while speaking on the relationship between the church and the media during the 5th Anniversary Celebrations of Kingdom Equip Network.

The event which was chaired by the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, was held at the Headquarters of the Assemblies of God in Accra under the theme “Who Speaks for the Church?”.

Bernard Avle argued that the Christian media have reduced the propagation of the word of God to sermons and preaching.

According to the astute media personality, the Christian media can invest in creative contents by training their media personalities to meet the standards of the non-Christian media houses.

Bernard Avle called on the leadership of the Christian media to divert from the usual sermons and preaching and invest in more interesting programmes that equally promote the gospel.

He was of the view that the western media has found a subtle way to indoctrinate non-Christian doctrines into the kids hence the need for the Christian media to be dynamic in their programming.

Some outstanding Christian leaders including Professor Stephen Addai, Apostle Dr. Michael Kwabena Ntumy, Apostle Professor Kwadwo Nimfour Opoku Onyinah , Samuel Attah Mensah were also awarded for their contribution to Christianity and leadership in Ghana.
