The Church of Pentecost, Achimota Area, has honored former Accra Mayor, Hon. Elizabeth Sackey, for making history as the city’s first female Metropolitan Chief Executive.

At a special ceremony on Sunday, the church recognized her leadership and contributions to governance. A citation presented by the head pastor highlighted her role in shaping Accra’s development since assuming office in 2021.

Expressing her gratitude, Hon. Elizabeth Sackey reaffirmed her commitment to public service and encouraged women in leadership to serve with integrity and dedication.

She also emphasized the importance of collective action in achieving sustainable development.

Assembly Member for Okaikwei South Sub-Metro, David Abalo, who attended the event, urged the incoming mayor to continue efforts in improving sanitation and ensuring a cleaner Accra.
