Coronavirus: Ayawaso North confirms 31 new cases, 10 in critical condition

The Ayawaso North Constituency has reportedly recorded 31 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19).
According to the Municipal Chief Executive(MCE) for Ayawaso North, Aminu Mohammed Zakari, who confirmed the new cases, 10 out of the 31 are in critical condition.
The affected areas he mentioned include Newtown, Mamobi and Nima.
In a brief statement by the Ayawaso North Municipal Assembly, it noted that the new cases were discovered through contact tracing and continuous testing.
“Through contact tracing and subsequent testing, the infected cases in Ayawaso North Municipality ( Mamobi East, Mamobi West and Kwao Tsuru/ Accra New Town, has risen from 2 cases as of last week, to 31 cases this afternoon. We are monitoring that of Ayawaso East Municipal” ANMA stated.
The Assembly therefore encouraged all persons in the municipality to stay home to avoid being infected. “Let us be very careful, stay at home please. We are monitoring that of Ayawaso East Municipal Assembly.”
Meanwhile, the Ghana Health Service is yet to confirm the new cases.
