New Patriotic Party (NPP) has commenced the exercise to elect Parliamentary candidates to contest on the ticket of the Party in the December polls.
The elections is taking place in about 365 polling centres nationwide in constituencies where the Party has sitting Members of Parliament.
As part of observing the laid down covid-19 safety protocols, Delegates were provided with nose masks as well as hand sanitizers.
This confirms the promise made by the Director of Elections for the NPP, Evans Nimako, when he spoke on Atinka FM’s AM Drive Friday morning with host Ekourba Gyasi.
Commenting on the safety precautions to prevent delegates and candidates from contracting the covid-19 during the exercise, Mr. Evans Nimako, said the Party has made available nose masks which will be given to all delegates and candidates before the start of the elections.
He added that veronica buckets, as well as alcohol based sanitizers will also be provided at the entrances of the polling stations for use.
