Dzifa Attivor suffered post surgery complications -Ako Gunn

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s Deputy National Communications Officer, Mr Godwin Ako Gunn has hinted that the Former Minister of Transport, Dzifa Attivor died after she had complications from a surgery.

Although he was not specific about the type of surgery, he said the Former Minister was discharged after the surgery but was later rushed back to the hospital when there were complications.

Dzifa Attivor was a Ghanaian politician and businesswoman.

As a Former Transport Minister, she resigned over the controversial branding of 116 buses for the Metro Mass Bus Transit Company which cost GhȻ3.6million.

Born on February 22, 1956, Former Minister died on Monday, November 15, 2021.

Speaking on Atinka TV’s morning show, Ghana Nie with Ekourba Gyasi Simpremu, Mr Godwin Ako Gunn extended his condolence to the family on behalf of the NDC.

Although he did not want to give details of the death of the Former Minister, he said the party will visit the family officially this week to share their pain with them.

When asked what caused her death, he said, “I will leave the details for her family to answer, however, we know that she went to do a surgery and came home and then there were complications and she was rushed back to the hospital but we will leave the details for the family to talk about it.”

A former Deputy Defence Minister, Major (rtd) Derek Oduro says he never commented on the bus branding saga involving Dzifa Attivor it the issue was being discussed by the public, including his own colleagues.

According to him, he never said anything because he had a cordial relationship with the Late Dzifa Attivor despite affiliating with separate parties.

His comments come after the demise of the Late Former Transport Minister.

Dzifa Attivor was a Ghanaian politician and businesswoman.
