Speaking on Atinka TV‘s morning show, Ghana Nie, with Abena Dufie, a Senior Medical Officer at the Entrance University Hospital, Dr Karen Mensah, said the move was also to extend love to the people and to help promote good health amongst the people.

She said that on the day, the nurses and doctors in charge of the program will check weight, height, body mass index (BMI), sickling, hepatitis B, and others.

For those without Hepatitis B, she said they will make available vaccination for them.

Dr. Karen Mensah said after the screening, those who love to enjoy other services would be given discounts on whatever they do on that day.

Particularly, she said for the month of February, the hospital has placed a 50 per cent discount on all scans.

She therefore urged the public to take advantage of the programme in order to know their health status.

For his part, the coordinator of the Eye Team for the programme, Dr. Samuel Ohemeng, said there would also be free eye screening for the public at the Entrance University Hospital on the same day, also encouraging all to partake in the exercise.

“We are coming on board to ensure that whatever brings eye problems or issues to the eye is reduced,” he said.
