Renowned Ghanaian author and playwright, Kobina Ansah, has written a children’s book for his son’s first birthday, opting for a meaningful and lasting gift over a traditional birthday party.

He also expressed his excitement about the growing interest in theatre.
“Times are changing, and I’m glad theatre is getting attention. My plays have been recording huge patronage, and that is very encouraging.”

“I write plays that touch on social issues, tackling pertinent and relatable issues common to all Ghanaians. I believe in resetting the mindset of Ghanaians through storytelling on stage.”
Ansah started his writing journey in 2015, despite being a teacher, writing has always been his passion.
“It’s been a decade, and I’ve held the interest of theatre fans with plays like In The Pants of A Woman, Once Upon A Riddle, The Boy Called A Girl, and Emergency Wedding, among others.”
