Ghanaians want a businessman as President – Ken Agyapong

NPP flagbearer aspirant, Kennedy Agyapong, says Ghanaians want a businessman like him to lead Ghana.

He opined that Ghanains have tried lawyers, soldiers, and economists as presidents and are are not satisfied with how they ruled.

The businessman made this statement after casting his vote in the ongoing presidential primaries.

“What Ghanains are looking for is a bold honest leader, the situation they are in, they have tried politicians who are who are lawyers, soldiers, and economists, and still Ghanaians dont like the way things are going, therefore, Kennedy Agyapong is the best. Let us give him a chance and see what a businessman can also do,” he said.

The NPP’s Presidential election to elect a flagbearer for the party is currently under way at 277 polling centres across the country.

Over 200,000 delegates are voting in the exercise which is expected to end at 3:00pm.

Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto and former MP for Mampong Francis Addai-Nimoh are the contenders for the elections.
