Hearts of Oak MD pleads with supporters to be patient with team

Dr. Delali Anku-Adiamah, Hearts of Oak Managing Director, has urged club supporters to be patient with the team’s current abysmal performance.

In the early 2000s, Hearts of Oak were among the world’s best clubs, securing the treble and making history as the first Ghanaian club to do so.

However, in the last two seasons, the club has declined, going trophyless in the last season. Speaking on the Atinka weekend sports show, Dr. Delali admitted the challenges facing the club but maintained optimism for the future.

He emphasized the importance of instilling a winning mentality with the assistance of supporters. ‘We are rebuilding the team, so supporters should be patient with us,’ he said.

Dr. Delali Anku-Adiamah emphasized that sacking more players is not the solution; rather, the club is going to build the team around these players to yield better results.

He pleaded with the supporters to give the board time to fix all problems surrounding the team; ‘we cannot fix everything overnight’, he stressed.

Speaking ahead of the Aduana FC clash on matchday 30, Dr. Delali said, “We need to approach every game with the mindset of winning and be consistent about it. Perhaps this year, winning the Premier League may not be feasible, but with a long-term strategy, we will return to claim the title.”

Dr. Anku-Adiamah remains hopeful that the team can secure a positive result and continue their journey towards reclaiming their former glory.
