The Vice President and aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, says he has a special relationship with the party grassroots and that they will vote massively for him in Saturday’s election.
Dr. Bawumia made the comments during an interaction with the media at his official residence at Cantonments in Accra on Thursday.
According to him, he’s been dealing with the party grassroots for a very long time-almost 15 years adding that he has been solving their problems within the period.
“Many people don’t appreciate that I have been campaigning in constituencies, and sleeping in constituencies for the last 15 years. So, I’m well known. I’ve been dealing with grassroots, solving their problems for the past 15 years,” Dr Bawumia said
According to him, he has some closeness with many of the delegates which his competitors don’t have.
“I’m more of a grassroots candidate than an establishment candidate,” the vice president added.
