Include Private School Teachers in Govt’s Policies-COPSTEG

The Acting President of Coalition for Private School Teachers Ghana (COPSTEG), Ibrahim Chambas has called on the government to make private school teachers inclusive in its programmes and policies.
Speaking at a teacher’s conference organised by COPSTEG, at Kasoa in the Central Region, the Acting President said it is of essence that government gives equal privileges to both private and public sector teachers.
According to him, the continuous disparity among private school teachers and public teachers could negatively affect the overall educational system.
He said private school teachers although contributes to the entire system, they do not enjoy government’s privileges.
Ibrahim Chambas opined that the country’s educational sector could better be improved if private school teachers benefit from government policies and programmes.
He urged private school teachers not to relent on their efforts to support the educational sector.
He also stated that COPSTEG will avail itself to support a good cause for private teachers, urging all to join the group in the regard.
