Kantamanto fire: Police offer support to Fire Service

The Ghana Police provided operational support to the Ghana National Fire Service as they worked to put out a fire that engulfed a section of the Kantamanto market in Accra.

This was after attempts to quench the water by the Ghana National Fire Service failed due to shortage of water.

A fire outbreak that engulfed Kantamanto Market on Tuesday morning, November 29, 2022, destroyed items worth thousands of cedis.

The eyewitness said when the fire started, it was so strong that the Ghana Fire Service could not quench it immediately due to a shortage of water.

Although about seven fire tenders were sent to fight the fire, two additional more were dispatched to support the seven.
