Kumasi: Man,30, butchered, eyes removed

A man believed to be in his 30’s, Akwasi Tweneboah, also known as Akwasi Budo, was last saturday butchered by unidentified persons in his room at Kronum Aboahia Otumfour Last Stop in the Suame municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The killers also removed the eyes of the victim.

Although he lived with his mother and his three children, the suspects could not be identified by the victim’s family.

Speaking on Atinka TV‘s morning show, Ghana Nie, AMV’s Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Obofo Michael said it was rumoured that Akwasi Budo was teaching a lady how to drive the whole time prior to the incident.

As per reports, both the vehicle he utilized to instruct the lady in driving and the lady herself remained untraceable subsequent to the discovery of his corpse.

Certain individuals, according to him, suspect that the woman hired or conspired with others to murder and steal from Akwasi Budo as a result.

Other rumours, according to Obofo Michael, also indicated that the victim was allegedly involved in internet fraud and might have received huge sums of money supposed to be shared amongst his team but refused to give them their portion hence the attack.

Meanwhile, the Police have commenced investigation into the matter and are yet to release a report on the murder as at the time of filing this story.
