Mahama promises  to implement  measures to reset Ghana

John Dramani Mahama, the president-elect, has reiterated his intention to enact strict policies that will help the country recover.

The president-elect emphasized the importance of these strict measures during the next four years in an address following the announcement of his victory on Monday, December 9.

“We would be initiating important governance reforms, and sometimes initiate severe measures in the next four years to reset our nation and bring it back on track as the Black star of Africa.”

President-elect John Dramani Mahama  also promise to  assemble a government that will embody the aspirations and dreams of all Ghanaians, regardless of political affiliation.

“My brothers and sisters, it is with tremendous humility that I accept this clear mandate that you, the good people of Ghana, have given me to lead this great nation as your next president,” he said.

Mr Mahama explained that each vote cast represented the collective hopes and future of the nation.

“Every vote that was cast in this election carried the same weight. Every vote also carried the hope and the future of our country,” he added.
