The Circuit Court in Accra has sentenced Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, to 15 years in prison for fraud.
The former traditional priestess turned evangelist was convicted of defrauding people by false pretence and for promoting deceptive money-doubling claims on television in 2022.
Many victims reportedly lost large sums of money after responding to her televised promises.
Before sentencing, Nana Agradaa was taken to a hospital for a pregnancy test, as required by law. The test showed she is not pregnant.
