“NDC likely to claim credit-scoring system after 4 years” – Miracles Aboagye

The Director of Communications for the Bawumia Campaign Team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, says he will not be surprised if the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) claims the credit-scoring system in four years.

This comment by Dennis Miracles Aboagye comes after some critics of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate Bawumia ridiculed the credit-scoring system being pioneered by Dr. Bawumia.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia unveiled the innovative project, which is expected to solve long-standing issues for both lenders and borrowers by facilitating a seamless credit ecosystem that allows financial institutions to make well-informed lending decisions quickly and effectively.

Dr. Bawumia announced plans to implement the system, which is used in the majority of developed nations.

The Ghana Card will serve as the foundation of the new system, which will also assist reliable creditors in receiving cheaper interest rates.

Among other things, the implementation of the Individual Credit Scoring System is anticipated to be a major step toward financial inclusion.

Reacting to issues on the credit-scoring system in an interview on Atinka FM’s AM Drive with host Nana Fianko, Dennis Miracles Aboagye reiterated that he is not surprised the opposition NDC is criticizing the system.

He allleged that the NDC has a trajectory of criticizing major policies of the NPP, including Free SHS and NHIS.

“These are the same people who claimed that even Kwame Nkrumah and the Soviet Union were unable to implement the Free SHS policy and that the NPP was incapable of doing so. They are the same people who said that National Health Insurance, they organized a demonstration and protested against Free SHS, which they are now claiming. Have you forgotten that they ridiculed us when we wanted to do 1 constituency, 1 ambulance? The good news is that we will implement it, but just like how they ridiculed Free SHS and are now claiming it, after four years they will make a U-turn and claim that the credit scoring system is their policy,” Miracles Aboagye noted.
