The UCC Alumni for Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has congratulated the Running Mate of Flagbearer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama for the 2020 elections, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang for her nomination.
According to the Group, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on every count qualifies in description as a remarkable leader, adding that her nomination comes not as a surprise but as a confirmation of what she has been known for.
In a statement, the Group said that,”We can boldly say the NDC made a great choice, Congratulations to our indefatigable former Vice Chancellor, we wish her well and to all Women this is a clear indication that gender equality isn’t a myth and the future is feminine.”

UCC ALUMNI FOR JANE NAANA OPOKU AGYEMANG congratulate Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang on her nomination and appointment as Running Mate for the National Democratic Congress:*
Leadership is measured by how well a person serves in a given role of power and a mark of every great leader is undoubtedly admirable service. Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang on every count qualifies in description as a remarkable leader. Her nomination therefore as the running mate to the Presidential candidate of the NDC comes not as a surprise but as a confirmation of what we, as the alumni of UCC have always known her for.
Integrity, Intelligence and Strength are amongst many attributes that have been credited for the choice of Prof. as Running Mate of the NDC. As the motto of our beloved Alma Mata reads “Veritas Nobis Lumen” thus, Truth, Our Guide, indeed our former Vice Chancellor did imbibe these words fully and we dare to call her the mother of Integrity which makes her qualified in both attitude and skill for the nomination.
We were proud to have formed a part of the history she made as the first female Vice Chancellor of a tertiary institution in Ghana and we will even be more proud to witness this bigger history of her assumption into the office of the Vice President of our beloved Country if voted into office.
