Hundreds of residents took part in a clean-up exercise at Mpasatia in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region over the weekend.
The exercise was organized by Hon. Paul Sarbeng, Deputy CEO- of MASLOC. It was aimed at ensuring sanity in the community.
Hon. Sarbeng teamed up with the chiefs, assembly members, unit committee members, and the youth of Mpasatia to embark on a clean-up exercise.
Apart from the clean-up exercise, Hon. Sarbeng also presented items including waste bins, brooms, shovels, and rakes to the people of Mpasatia to keep the community clean.
He also organised a football tournament for the youth in the community.
Four teams that participated in the tournament were given a set of football, jerseys, and an undisclosed amount of money.
Some individuals were also awarded for their performance.
Nana Toasehene graced the Occasion with his appearance.
Ex-Co member of Ghana Football Association (GFA), Frederick Acheampong, and General Manager of Fox FM in Kumasi, Nana Sarpong were also present.
Hon. Sarbeng emphasized the importance of coordinating such programmes in the community and promised that more will be implemented in the various communities of Atwima Mponua.
