NPP Primaries: Afoley Quaye retains seat at Krowor

The Krowor Constituency Incumbent MP for krowor Constituency in Nungua who also doubles as the Fisheries Minister, Elizabeth Afoley Quaye has retained her position by pulling 362 votes to closely beat her major contender Emmanuel Laryea Odai who also pulled 359 votes.
The close race almost fueled confusion between supporters of both sides during the votes count at nkpor, one of 12 polling centers in krowor constituency.
In some of the centers like Nkpor, Blekese West, voting ended earlier than the stipulated time.
Asked whether party structures were skewed to favor her, the mp rubbished the thought stating that the fact that her two male contenders were allowed to contest her shows how open, fair and democratic the NPP party is.
She urged her constituents to rally behind her as well as her contenders. Voting took place in 12 centers.
The last contender Nii Aryikwei Okine pulled one vote.
