NPP primaries: Bawumia asks aspirants to protect party’s integrity

The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on aspirants and all stakeholders in the upcoming parliamentary primaries to rise above individual interests and strongly protect the impeccable credentials and democratic integrity of the party.

Dr. Bawumia says it is important to ensure that by close of the Saturday, 27th January, parliamentary primary process, the party comes out stronger, more united and ready to deliver victory for Ghanaians in the general elections ahead.

Contained in his goodwill message ahead of tomorrow’s polls, he urged “all aspirants to be guided by the principles underpinning our party’s democratic culture, the principles of freedom, fairness, and peace.”

“We are all responsible for ensuring the integrity of our party’s electoral system and ensuring compliance with the decisions of the delegates of our party,” he emphasised.

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia called on aspirants to recognise that, inasmuch as it takes hard work and sacrifice to make this journey, it is significant to note that it requires heavily concentrated levels of true commitment to serving the people.

The NPP Flagbearer congratulated all Members of Parliament who are running unopposed in their constituencies on the massive show of confidence in their leadership and concluded with a call on them to validate the profound confidence reposed in them “by working with all stakeholders to deliver their constituencies in the presidential and parliamentary polls.”

The NPP goes to the polls on Saturday, 27th January, 2024, for the crucial task of selecting Parliamentary Candidates in constituencies with sitting Members of Parliament to represent the party in the December 2024 parliamentary elections.
