AFCON 2023 failure: Atinka’s NAK writes to Akufo-Addo

Dear Mr President,

Respectfully, I trust you are well. Could you kindly listen to our concerns as Ghanaians?

This GFA is only interested in squandering our money and does not serve the interest of  Ghanaians. If you permit them to appoint a new coach for the Black Stars,  we will still not improve as a soccer nation.

Mr. President, consider the adversity that your people endure. How can one permit the GFA to misapply funds allocated for Black Stars by taxpayers?

Over $270,000 was paid in compensation for the dismissal of coaches by Ghana.   After dismissing Milovan, he was replaced with  C.K. AKONNOR. Ghana incurred expenses amounting to $175,000 during the seven months preceding his dismissal, thereby accumulating a debt of $275,000. Furthermore, coach Akwasi Appiah was compensated with  $108,000 following five months of outstanding salaries.

Mr President, you have become the worst president in history, having presided over two poor AFCONS by the Black Stars which are 2021 and 2023.

Sir,  bear in mind that next year you will not be at post as president.

• Tell your minister to dissolve that committee set up to look for a new Black Stars coach because the same members of the committee have been appointing or selecting coaches over the years. They can’t be trusted!

These are managers employed by Kurt  Okraku’s administration within a space of  4 years:

• James Kwesi Appiah (April 2017 – January 2020):

• Charles Akonnor (January 2020 – September 2021):

• Milovan Rajevac (September 2021 – January 2022):

• Otto Addo (March 2022 – December 2022):

• Chris Hughton (February 2022 – January 2023):

Just 4 years 5 managers How Mr. President how!!!!

Even you as president don’t change ministers like that.

Mr President, I rest my case.

My name is NAK  of Atinka Media Village
