Palm wine tapper stabs grandfather, two others to death

Agya Nkrumah, 85, D.C Kwakye, 80 and Banahene, 48 have been stabbed to death by a Palm wine tapper, Kwadwo Dada, 45,  popularly known as Desco at Wawasi in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region.

The Assembly Member of the area, Hon. Andrews Mensah told Agyenkwa FM’s Obofo Michael that, the suspect, Kwadwo Dada went to his grandfather’s room and stabbed him to death.

He again went outside and chased one D.C Kwakye, a neighbour and also stabbed him.

The victim was sent to the Ankaase hospital but gave up the ghost in the late hours of Sunday.

The Assembly Member also revealed that the suspect, Kwadwo Dada had already killed his friend, Banahene in the bush on Friday, October 8, 2021 before killing the two others the next day.

He accused his colleague, Banahene of having an affair with his wife.

The Palm wine tapper when nabbed by the locals confessed to the crime and claimed that that, he had a dream about his friend (now deceased) having sex with his wife, adding that this prompted him to revenge physically.

“I lured him to the bush and unknown to him, I stabbed him from the back. He fell down and I repeated it till he died”, the suspect confessed.

He left the body in the bush.

After commiting the heinous act on Friday evening, he attacked the other three persons in the same community alleging that, they are the cause of the community’s woes.

The community folks were alarmed and the Palm wine Tapper was arrested, beaten to pulp and handed over to the Ankaase Police for further investigation.

The remains of the deceased persons have been deposited at the Ankaase health facility’s morgue.
