2017 Accra Marathon winner, Malik Yakubu, has been crowned winner of the 2018 Atinka Media Village Marathon dubbed, "KING OF THE MOUNTAIN.
Yakubu took home GH¢5,000 and hampers from the sponsors after finishing first in the men category.
The 2018 edition of the marathon which was themed 'KING OF THE MOUNTAIN' held at Ayi-Mensah in Accra on Friday May 26th was highly competitive.
The King Of The Mountain Marathon, which is aimed at promoting Ghana through tourism, started from the Ayi-Mensah Police Barrier and witnessed over 600 participants who covered a distance of 7km respectively. Malik proved his mettle to win the male short distance marathon elapsing 24 minutes and 17 seconds.
Azure Elizabeth was awarded with acash prize of GH¢3000 cedis and souvenirs for winning the Women's category.
The 2018 King of The Mountain Marathon was sponsored by Abii National Savings & Loans, Entrance University Hospital, Priority Insurance and Sparkle Natural Mineral Water.
