Public gatherings suspended over Coronavirus

Government has suspended all public gatherings over the Coronavirus pandemic.
The development comes after health authorities Sunday afternoon announced that six cases of the disease have been recorded in the country.
Addressing the general public Sunday evening, President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo announced that all public gatherings, including conferences, workshops, funerals, festivals, political rallies, sporting events and religious activities, such as services in churches and mosques, have been suspended for the next four (4) weeks.
He, however, explained that private burials will be permitted, but with limited numbers, not exceeding twenty-five (25) in attendance.
The President also called on supermarkets, shopping malls, restaurants, night clubs, hotels and drinking spots, to observe enhanced hygiene procedures by providing hand sanitizers, running water and soap for washing of hands for its customers.
