Former President John Rawlings has described President Akufo- Addo’s Thursday address, which sought to set the records straight on the defense cooperation agreement between Ghana and United States as timely and important.
Members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and some members of the public have slammed the president for attacking people who are not in favoUr of the deal. His critics say he sounded too partisan with his address.
However, in a tweet Saturday, former President Rawlings defended President Akufo Addo, saying the latter’s address was timely and important.
